Biometrics go wireless: Introducing BioConnect 2.5 for Access Control Systems from ENTERTECH SYSTEMS

ENTERTECH SYSTEMS has just launched BioConnect 2.5, the latest version of their application for biometric integration with access control systems, debuting April 2 at ISC West 2014 in Las Vegas. With this highly anticipated new release, BioConnect has added a number of exciting features. It now leverages smartphones as an authentication source. OSDP support is also now available – delivering users secured communication protocols and diversified deployment architectures. Other new features include advanced template management for simple onboarding and new flexible credential options that range from finger-only to three-factor authentication.

All of these new functions will be demonstrated live at the Suprema and ENTERTECH SYSTEMS booth (#10053) at ISC West.

“We now have the only biometric application for seamless sync with access control systems that delivers wireless capability along with speed, accuracy and ease of deployment and use,” said Rob Douglas, CEO of ENTERTECH SYSTEMS. “At ENTERTECH SYSTEMS, we continue to break down the barriers to adoption of biometrics for everyday users and organizations – traditionally, the communications and integration complexity between biometric readers and access control systems have been the greatest challenges.”
BioConnect seamlessly syncs Suprema devices with leading access control systems, making biometric integration easy for systems integrators and end-user organizations. In the past, end-user records had to be managed in two different systems (one for the access control panel and another for the biometric templates). BioConnect leverages the existing user database to easily add biometric templates – dramatically simplifying the enrollment and management of end-users. Using a simple enrollment window, users can search for a user/badge and add biometric templates easily. Customers of certified access control partners now have the ability to integrate proven biometrics into their access control systems. Certified partners include AMAG Technology, Software House, Lenel and Brivo. Suprema readers available with BioConnect include BioStation T2, BioStation, BioEntry Plus, BioEntry W, BioLite Net and BioMini.

ENTERTECH SYSTEMS offers a range of Suprema biometric products and applications for the mainstream market. They can be used in any number of settings including critical infrastructure, healthcare, education, commercial and financial.
